Sometimes in life we get so focused on our “to do list” or even “to have list”, that we often forget about who we are or what we want to be.
You’re not the titles, achievements and awards, those are just labels. Remember: “We are not human doings, we are human beings.”
As Alan Cohen says “The only thing more important than your to do list is your to be list and the only thing more important than that – is to be!”
It’s also true with material things, you’re not what you possess, you’re much more than that!
It’s in these moments, when I’m in nature, when I’m “just being” I feel aligned, worryless, calm, with love and very important I feel that I belong! Time slows down, the days feel longer and more enjoyable because I’m living the present.
What you want to be, is what should determine your actions and your priorities. Not the other way around. Just be yourself and the rest will follow.
